I believe that the map is bugged; the pilots do not follow the track line, often jumping from one point to another on the track map. Can this thing be corrected?
The reason the track map doesn't connect smoothly is because F1 has restricted driver position and vehicle-related data behind a paid plan.
As a result, we are currently displaying driver positions based on the track's mini-sectors.
We aim for the smoothest possible connection, but there's a limitation: only about 20 markers can be precisely defined by mini-sectors, so it may not appear completely smooth.
However, we've precisely calibrated the position accuracy using delay and sector times, and measurement results indicate it is highly accurate.
